Help put the the Banana Bed to bed!

It is time to put the Banana Bed to bed for the winter. A group of us are meeting on Friday 14th November at 10.15am to strim and rake the bed. If anyone else is free and able to help, please come along. You just need to bring a wire rake and some bags to put the cuttings in. And if anyone has a battery operated strimmer, we could do with borrowing a few more, so please get in touch if you could lend us one for the morning.

We also need ideas about how to manage the bed going forward. It really suffered in the drought this year, and it is simply not sustainable to have to water it. Please get in touch via the Rewilding WhatsApp group or contact REAP if you would like to be involved in these discussions – which I am hoping can take place in person over a cup of coffee in the warm!!

The Banana Bed is at the junction of Talbot Road and North Park Avenue.
