Keeping Roundhay streets clean

Thank you to REAP members in the Waste group who have been quietly keeping our streets and verges clear of litter over the summer – especially to Steve, Debbie and Sue who have done lots of litter picks. We have a supply of purple bags and a couple of hoops/pickers in case anyone wants to join in.

Although people often go out on their own when they have a bit of spare time, you can also use the Waste Reduction WhatsApp group to go litter picking in a small group. Just post a message on the WhatsApp group as to when you are going and see if others can join you.

It is also worth wearing a REAP hi-viz vest as it advertises REAP and shows the community what we are doing - and can be a useful conversation starter. If you would like a vest, contact Amanda via the Waste Reduction WhatsApp group as we still have a few going spare.
